have introduced a new XM-tuner at CES that is forty times smaller than the original trunk-based satellite radio signal receiver released in 2002. Dubbed the XM Passport, its dimensions are 1.3"W x 1.65"H x 0.44"D, and weighs 0.44 ounces. The tuner can be transferred from one dock to another, enabling people to take XM functionality with them as they move about, listening to the satellite radio stream in capable devices like home stereos, car/clock radios, and boomboxes. XM Passport will be available in 2006 and cost $30. A planned car dock will also be priced at $30.Read the press release.
