Server-Based Gambling In Casinos

Following up on the recent implementation of ticket-based voucher gambling, new gambling OS design is centering on networking machines so that their functions (e.g., game played, bet denominationslinks) can be changed at will. For example, if it's determined slot machines near an entrance produce more revenue in the afternoons as quarter feeds while at night dollar bets are preferred, floor managers could instantaneously switch the machines' function to provide this environment. Gambling server technology won't likely make an impact on gambling companies' revenue until the 2007-2008 time period.
