Prada Phone: It's Just Good Fashion Cents
Well you don't need to read the byline to know that this post was written by a man. Here we have some slams against Verizon's capabilities for launching a phone that is a competitive response to Apple's iPhone. What is it called you ask? Prada. So the boys are thinking, it doesn't have all that cool stuff that I want in a phone. And the girls are thinking, but it's so PRETTY. I have a female buddy who has a really cool phone, but she just doesn't know how to use even half of the stuff on it. She says she likes it because it's pink. I know most males will be either shaking their heads sadly or **gasping** right now at the waste of perfectly Good Technologylinks. However, according to my wife, women feel the same way when they buy us a Hugo Boss shirt and see it ending up on the floor! Men hate seeing technology not being used, and the XX demographic hates seeing bad things happen to good fashion. So this is why I think Verizon's answer to the Apple is absolutely brilliant! They are tapping into both of their gender demographics by offering products that will individually appeal to both men and women.

Big business demands response to your competitors. This means, when they bring out a cushy new product that millions of people are googling over, you have to do the same. And you have to do it better, and be even more innovative than they were. Hence, Verizon has cool gadgets AND pretty ones too. Who talks on the phone more? Okay, men are starting to compete in that department, but when you are talking who spends more minutes on the phone? The girls will always win in this department, it is in the genetic coding, and it will not change. You see where I am going. Verizon is snagging a huge demographic knowing they are the ones racking up the minutes and the dollars. When you put couture labels on something, a woman whips that baby out of whatever she can, as often as she can, and makes sure people notice. With the Prada phone, Verizon can't lose in that department. No, it doesn't come equipped with the cool stuff. But who cares? Women don't, and they are the ones that are going to buy this. And honestly, if you now what an average bag runs for, the $600 price tag is a Prada bargain. Most women only use that phrase in hushed tones, but for Verizon, it's just good fashion cents.
