New York Announces Biofuel Initiative

Both biodiesel and ethanol can be harvested from several plants, and biodiesel can be produced using refined vegetable oil normally disposed of as wasted by fast food restaurants. The report which comprises this legislation acknowledges that harvesting corn for ethanol production is not energy efficient or environmentally friendly.
