Researchers studying the effectiveness of carbon nanotubes as a means of delivering cancer medication have made an accidental discovery; the nanotubes posessed properties that allowed them to be exploded like cluster bombs in a controlled environment. Successful experiments with this technique in water, phosphate, and salt have proven its viability in humans.
the nanobomb holds great promise as a therapeutic agent for killing cancer cellslinks, with particular emphasis on breast cancer cells, because its shockwave kills the cancerous cells as well as the biological pathways that carry instructions to generate additional cancerous cells and the small veins that nourish the diseased cells. Also, it can be spread over a wide area to create structural damage to the cancer cells that are close by.

Medical applications using nanobombs are still in their nascent stages and will
require years of clincal trials before use in treating cancer patients.
