The scanners and software application, designed by Eyemetric Identity Systems, are being used to compare and positively match teachers, staff employees, and upto four parent/guardians per children for building access rights. Once an individual's eye is digitally photographed, their system is able to match upto 242 unique markers upon rescanning. This is over approximately eleven times more effective than a fingerprint analysis."The idea is to improve school safety for the children... We had a swipe-card system that operated the doors, but the technology was obsolete."
