I think it's a great idea whose time has come. We need greater security measures in our schools. Children need to see these measures and be aware they are in place. It will make such things become a daily occurence to them, and when we roll out more massive implementation of scanning and tracking of individuals in the future, they will be more likely to accept it as a a matter of course, and not balk at the idea like their more freedom-inclined predecessors.

I wonder, what's up with this country? We are afraid of crimes but we spend more money on safety than education. Someone must tell those squareheads this: better education means less crimes means less safety costs. I know this will take time but is the only practical way.
