GPS Speed Tracking Application Tested

Two new applications that use GPS technology to track a moving vehicle's speed and respond by either proscribing the driver from pressing on the accelerator or flashing a blue light if the road's speed limit is increased were tested this past week by Canadian transportation firms. Though the former is highly intrusive, and the latter indicated by the speedometer and a knowledge of the road's permitted speed, insurance companies claim both technologies would reduce accidents and are considering offering premium decreases to driverslinks whom employ this system in their cars.
