Flushable Technology!

-gadget is virtually waterproof, I am happy. You understand where I am coming from if you too have stood in line endlessly at the mobility retailer only to be told "well, you're not actually supposed to submerge the phone in gingerale" . Dude, THANKS. So have a lookie here. This little guy is not only safe from water exposure, but is actually supposed to be used under water. This thing weighs barely half a pound, and will allow you to go as deep as five feet to record up to 2.5 hours. And no, it is not recommended that you record all of those hours at once. This gadget has perfect timing for summer as our lifestyles adopt the outdoor living experience. I think it's great to have by the pool or on the beach to catch the kiddoes in all of those candid "life is too short" moments.
And so this has led me to think, if they can make a video camera not only waterproof, but also submersible and intended for water use, why can't they extend this to other gadgets? I mean, how often do you hear the marketing term: waterproof laptop, or H2O friendly cell phone? How many of us have kids or dogs around the house or are just plain clumsy like myself? I would be first in line to buy a waterproof cell phone without question. And, isn't futuristic technology supposed to solve problems? This would be a biggie for me. Okay, so I would still be standing in line after gingerale incidents, but I think it's pretty obvious that the technology is there. So why aren't we seeing more of it?
