MapQuest's recently announced Find Me software is for Sprint Nextel mobile phones with GPS capabilities and allows people to locate where they are on a street map display. Future upgrades include compatability with AOL's instant messenger client, enabling the person they are communicating with to voluntarily disclose their location. The service will cost $4 a month above what Sprint Nextel customers pay for a data package and $6 as a stand-alone plan.
