Ever wonder what your employees are doing when you leave the conference room?

nasa apparently does, and they have a project in the works designed to alleviate that problem. The product is presently simply called Person Tracking, and is used through stereo range sensing devices that are deployed through cameras.

This mechanism tracks a number of people at one time using networked camera systems. But apart from tracking them, it can make estimations on their trajectories such as size and posture.

NASA is developing this product as a means to move towards futuristic computers that interact with humans as opposed to being strictly command driven.
