Steven Nissen, president of the American College of Cardiology, told a harvard university
audience that the FDA in January should receive the final results for clinical trials of a drug that raises high-density lipoproteins (HDLs) or "good" cholesterol. Statins, the best-selling pharmaceuticals in world history, bring down low-density lipoproteins (LDLs) or "bad" cholesterol.I'm not on statins yet, but the way things are going, which is to say heredity, I will be. But that's not what I want. What I want is for someone to make a pig with good cholesterol.
