Philanthropic Group Wins 2005 Nonprofit Innovation Award

DonorsChoose has won the 2005 nonprofit Innovation Award sponsored by Amazon.com and will be the recipient of its US $1.5 million prize. Acting as a social networking hub between internet users and schools in urban areas that are in need of supplies, DonorsChoose allows teachers to submit ideas for proposals and individuals can select projects they'd like to help.
