Apple has registered a patent for a new gadget. It's not an iPod/iPad/iPhone - it's a bike. And a smart one. Apple's patent is for a smart bike that would allow bikers to share:
such data as speed, distance, time, altitude, elevation, incline, decline, heart rate, power, derailleur setting, cadence, wind speed, path completed, expected future path, heart rate, power, and pace.
It's hard to imagine who would buy the smart bike as most riders who would look for data such as this already have gadgets to provide the information. Perhaps though, it's more of a toy for the person who has everything. You will need to make sure that you have an iPod or iPhone touch though as the system will require one to work. Apple hasn't yet decided if the iPhone/iPod touch will be in a docking station, or if it will be worn on the cyclists arm. They also haven't said how much the bike will cost.
This is one that we will definitely keep our eyes on.

New innovations in technology are being made from day to day. With the innovations, inventions are also taking place. Here is a list of the latest new technology inventions.
• Sixth Sense: Sixth Sense is a wearable gestural interface that bridges the gap between intangible digital information and the tangible world. It is comprised of a pocket projector, a mirror, and a camera which allows interaction with objects.
• Small Handy Ultrasound Scanner: It is a portable ultrasound scanner which can be used by doctors to diagnose patients more quickly in case of emergency. A team of medical researchers from GE Healthcare invented it.
• NASA Kepler Space Telescope: It is tasked with finding habitable Earth-like planets in distant star systems.
• Teleportation: Though teleporting machines are yet to come in the market but scientist have successfully teleported data from one atom to another in a container a meter away. Super- secure, ultra fast computers can be made using teleportation of atoms.

As we consumers well know, printer manufacturers make the bulk of their money from the sale of printer ink, not from the sale of their printers. With market trends moving further away from the use of printers, and, with millions of people investing in smart phones, HP has come up with a unique solution to keep people printing.
HP has developed a line of printers that will all be internet capable and have their own IP address. Smart phone users will be able to send their pictures, or anything for that matter, from their phones directly to their internet enabled printer. And, if that wasn't enough, these same printers will be able to connect with an HP computer and schedule downloads of information the user wants: imagine waking up every morning and picking up the latest headlines from your printer, or the latest sports scores.
While this is certainly an interesting direction to go, will it be in demand? HP believes its new line of printers addresses a need that so far hasn't been filled. Perhaps they could have increased people's printer use just by reducing the cost of the ink. Time will tell.
